When you look around on Sunday, what do you see?

…People talking and enjoying free cafe items; band leading energetic worship music; someone diligently listening to the message and taking notes; children learning about Jesus in FIRST LOOK and 252; parents and children worshiping; high tech systems for live streaming and recording; a fresh and comfortable facility; a help-yourself-food pantry called The Trading Post; equipment everywhere; and much more.

Each of these is possible because Stuttgart Harvest Church is a participant supported church. Without the tithes and giving of our attendees, it would be impossible to offer ministries that help people love God, each other, and the world.

Imagine… what would happen if 100% of regular attendees took the step to become regular givers at Stuttgart Harvest Church. these are just a few things that would be possible:

  • Expansion of current ministries
  • Creation of new ministries
  • More lives radically changed
  • Our facilities will be maintained and paid for
  • Deeper personal relationships with God because of growth in teaching opportunities.
  • More and more small groups
  • Childcare for small groups paid for every family with children
  • Greater impact on our city, state, country, and the world through large outreach opportunities.
  • More churches started to help people love God, each other and the world

Giving FAQ’s
What does the Bible say about giving?

The Bible talks more about giving than Heaven, prayer, or even Faith! Here’s just a sample of what God says about giving:

  • Faithful giving draws me closer to God.
“Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will be also.” Matthew 6:21
  • Faithful giving is the key to a full life.
“Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should give generously…By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may take hold of real life.” 1 Timothy 6:18-19
  • Faithful giving blesses me in return.
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord Almighty, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Let me prove it to you!” Malachi 3:10
  • Faithful giving makes me happy.
“There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.” Acts 20:35
  • Faithful giving reminds me that everything belongs to God.
“But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.” Deuteronomy 8:18
    Why Should I Give?

Giving helps me grown in my faith.
Giving supports the ministries of my church.
Giving allows me to be a part of God’s impact here in Arkansas County and throughout the world.

One of the greatest measures of spiritual maturity is how we handle the resources God has given us. Stewardship, honoring God with our finances, is a form of discipleship that will help you to become a fully developing follower of Jesus.

How Much Should I Give?

The Bible talks about tithing in the Old Covenant and Jesus talks about it once in the New Covenant. A tithe means a tenth.  So when you see tithe mentioned in the Bible it is talking about 10% of their income being given. Anything over that is called an offering and is a way to honor God through giving sacrificially.

The New Covenant takes things a big step further by teaching about giving.  Here are two examples.  One, Jesus calls us a steward or manager of God’s resources.  He reminds us that everything is God’s and we are simply managing what He sends our way in the form of income and resources.  If we are managing it for God, we need to ask God, the owner what He wants us to do with His resources.  And two, the New Covenant tells us to be cheerful givers.

Is My Gift Tax-deductible?

All contributions are 100% tax-deductible. A giving envelope must be completed in order for your gift to be tax-deductible (unless you give online or through your bank electronically).
Giving statements are mailed at the end of the year and a couple of times during the year to help you keep track of your giving.
