Our Children: FirstLook and 252
Our preschool (birth – K) is called FirstLook and our children’s area (1st-6th grade) is called 252. FIRST LOOK and 252 are exciting environments designed just for children and they have a blast. You can feel safe and secure as our ministry partners working with children have all been screened and have all cleared a background check.

Why do we have such a high focus on Sunday morning children’s experiences?
We believe your child must have exciting, engaging, fun and relevant teaching to help them learn to pursue God. We accomplish this with a great team of leaders who help your child get engaged with God. Sadly, if a child is brought into the adult/student worship theater you are actually hindering the potential for them to pursue God. A child in the adult/student experience learns that God is for big people, not for them. The learn that going to church is boring. And the impact is not just on the child, adults are impacted too. A parent is so focused on trying to keep a child quiet the adult gets very little out of the experience. Students and adults around the child are distracted as well… one child who gets noisy (and let’s face it… most do) attracts the attention of the entire room and that makes it very difficult to stay focused. The best opportunity for your child to grow and flourish is inside of our children’s ministry. We have spent great time and effort making it the best around so that it becomes the best hour of every kid’s week.
FIRST LOOK and 252
When your family arrives at Stuttgart Harvest Church or The Church in Malvern bring your children to the kid’s check-in table (they have their own cafe inside their area). Here you will receive a security tag with a number on it and that number will be assigned to your child and written on their nametag. Once your child has been checked in, they can head into our FIRST LOOK (Birth through K) rooms or to the 252 Shop (for children first grade through 6th grade).
We have a secure computer kid check-in system and someone will be there to help you get your kiddos checked in.
All Children’s workers have been screened and have cleared a background check.
When the Adult/Student Worship Experience is over, you can check your child out of using the security tag that was given to you at Check-In.
252 and FIRST LOOK are not about information, but transformation.

We strive to teach God’s truth in ways that impact a child’s choices and actions. Creativity and imagination are precious resources for penetrating their language and culture. Kids must be needed, valued, and connected. Their church experience must be relevant to their daily lives. Kids have time, availability, and enthusiasm to accomplish great things for His Kingdom. A kid’s day-to-day existence is not sidetracked by many of the complications that distract their adult counterparts. By teaching them to develop a biblical worldview, we can ignite an awakening that will impact generations to come. For the same reason that Jesus gave his attention to kids, we believe kids grow best when nurtured by loving mentors and teachers.

How can I help others know Christ?
How can I pray for others?
5. OFFER THEMSELVES IN SERVICE
What gifts has God given me?
How can I use my time and money to serve God?

TRANSFORMATION
FIRST LOOK provides a fun and simple way to reach preschoolers with the transformational truth of God’s Word. Through creatively taught Bible stories and active learning, preschoolers can begin to realize that church is fun and God’s love for them is real.
